I have two issues with it at the moment:
(1) Is it any good?
(2) The vendor has left the country and the estate agents do not know the code. Is there a way I can reset the code or will I need to pay someone to do it? And is it worth having it done or should I just replace the alarm?
Any opinions appreciated.

This has loads of questions regarding your alarm (and the default code and engineers code)
The default user code is (1234) The default engineer code is (9999).
To access programming: Press ( Programme function). All led's should illuminate.
Enter 9999. Day & 24hr leds illuminated.
You are now in Eng mode.
To Change engineer code: Key ( 1). Zones 1-4 iluminated.
Enter new eng code. 4 digits. As each digit is entered, an lED will extiguish.
When final digit is entered, acceptance beep will sound.
To Change user code: Press ( Programme function) enter default, 1234.
Then the same procedure,
Key (1), etc.
To exit programming key ( reset)(reset)
